Vision Quest is back for it's 13th year!.
We've got a new website.

Shining Butterfly Handicrafts is a business located within the First Nation of Brokenhead Ojibway Nation (right close to the bridge going right over the Brokenhead River; their sign is hard to miss on Highway 59).
The owners, Phyllis Bunn and Gertrude Ballantyne, have a close understanding of the First Nation culture and they are aware of what is involved in operating a Native Craft venture. Their knowledge was passed on to them from their families of making Native Handicrafts, and they wanted to apply their talent and skills into this venture. Initially, they did Handicrafts for Christmas gifts and wedding clothes for family members. Open from 10 am to 5pm, both are now operating Shining Butterfly Handicrafts from a building close to Phyllis’s home, which sells Authentic Native Crafts such as:
As clients of the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program from the Southeast Community Futures Development Corporation, they have successfully operated their business since November of 2002, and have impressed many of those who have come to stop by into their business to purchase their work, mainly from the communities of the surrounding Rural Municipalities who drive by.
